FAQ
Is the Community engine really free to use?
Yes. The Acron engine is free to download and use — including for commercial projects you ship. Paid Studio plans are optional and add the AI assistant, blueprint editor, and team collaboration on top of the same engine.
What does Studio Pro unlock, concretely?
The AI assistant that understands your project code and the Acron docs — so you can ask "why is my physics behaving weird here" and get a real answer, not a generic ChatGPT response. Plus the visual blueprint editor that compiles to clean Python.
Do I need a paid plan to use multiplayer?
No. The Distributed Objects multiplayer stack is part of the free engine. Managed hosting (the "deploy in one command" service) is a separate add-on. You can self-host for free using the bundled cluster server — see the self-host guide.
Can I cancel and still use Acron?
Yes. Cancelling Studio Pro means losing the AI assistant and blueprint editor, but your project files continue to run perfectly on the free Community engine. There is no "subscription to run the game".
How does asset store earnings work?
100% of sale price goes to the creator, forever. We monetize the store through featured placement slots, not a revenue cut. This is a permanent policy, not a launch promotion.
